台北數位藝術中心開幕雙個展　馬君輔、陶亞倫將抽象具體化

於6月28日正式開館的「台北數位藝術中心」，為北市文化局在2003年延續閒置空間再利用政策，將原本第五區肉品批發市場作為數位藝術中心預定地，一塊地前後面臨迥然不同的用途，正好與數位藝術中心試圖破除過去創作既定格局的理念不謀而合，未來經營團隊將致力於數位藝術的開發與研究，期望開放國際資源交流，建立台灣數位藝術的媒合平台。
值得一提的是，這次數位藝術中心特別邀請馬君輔與陶亞倫兩位藝術創作家在6月27日至8月9日舉辦開幕雙個展，這兩個主題展的創作概念皆具有虛擬和科技的超現實意象，但如此抽象的題材卻是具體的存在於我們四周，與生活息息相關、無法切割。

Two-Man Exhibition for the Opening of DAC Taipei

Embodiment of Abstract Concept by Chun-fu Ma and Ya-lun Tao

DAC Taipei was officially opened on June 28. In line with the policy on reuse of deserted space that was issued by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government in 2003, the site, which was once used by Taipei Livestock Products Marketing Corp for the 5^th district, became a reserved site of DAC Taipei. Though two completely different administrative purposes were applied to this plot of land, the existence of land accidentally coheres with the core value of DAC— the determination to break away from the traditional art form. The future management team will be committed to digital art R&D in the hope of opening up more international resource exchange so that a top-notch digital art platform can be established in Taiwan,

To celebrate the opening of DAC, we invited 2 artists, Chun-fu Ma and Ya-lun Tao, for a two-man exhibition, which will be available from June 27 to August 9. The themes of both exhibitions encompass surrealist images in association with virtual-reality and technology. There is no doubt that we are always surrounded by abstract subject matters. It is impossible for us to reject their existence, as they have become a crucial part of our daily lives.
